Winter is a time, that in the landscaping world, you aren’t able to do too much. The air is cold and most plants are dormant. Usually, fall is the time that you have used to plan ahead for winter. Well, winter is arriving and while there isn’t too much to do, it is a great time to plan ahead for spring!
Get inspired this season! There is nothing like curling up on the couch with a blanket and reading on a cold day. Pick up a book about landscaping or a landscaping magazine. Maybe even use Google as a helpful tool. Either way, find ideas and get inspired. Create a journal or an inspiration board to keep track of ideas that you find! Take this time to look back on how your yard was last season. Did you have brown spots in your yard? Bug infestation? Did you have a tree that became disease ridden? Now is the time to assess what went right and what went wrong, this will help you with your lawn in the future. Use this time to look ahead at projects you want to complete. Many of us have plenty of projects we want to be tackled in our yard, but never find the time. By planning ahead you can create goals and a timeline of completing projects. It is also great to be able to go ahead and call someone to help you. At ALL Outdoors, we book ahead and once we are booked, it is hard to squeeze in more projects. If you plan ahead, we can already have you on the calendar! It is also great to plan ahead for a budget. If you know that you want lawn service as well as landscaping projects such as a patio, retaining wall or fire pit it is good to create a budget. Setting aside a little each week or each month, helps when the time comes to pay for your projects throughout the year. As always, we are always happy to help bring your dreams to life.
