5 Small Additions to Make Your Backyard More Enjoyable

​The weather is sure to be getting cooler soon as fall rolls in. It is the perfect time to spend outside enjoying the cool breeze and admiring the beautifully colored leaves. By adding a few additions, you can make your backyard area even more enjoyable!

​1. Grills/ Smokers- Fall is the perfect season for cooking outdoors! We love outdoor kitchen areas (check out our previous blogs on that topic)! But if you don’t have an outdoor kitchen, you should definitely think about adding grills or smokers. You can make amazing meals while enjoying the cooler weather. 
 
2. Outdoor Furniture- Add a table and chairs to your backyard! After you grill a meal, you need a place to enjoy it. Food tastes better when you have a beautiful view. Gather the family around the table outside and create some wonderful memories! Another great outdoor furniture addition is a porch swing. They are great for relaxing!
 
3. Sun Trap- Find a sunny spot in your backyard or on your deck and place some planters there. Plants that require more sun and warmer temperatures will appreciate this spot to thrive in. 
 
4. Fire Pits- Like outdoor kitchens, we have a previous full article about the addition of fire pits to your backyard. They are a great addition that allow you to enjoy your backyard, not only in the fall, but even in the winter. Gather ‘round the fire and tell stories, make s’mores, or roast hot dogs!
 
5. Lights- Whether its simple string lights or spotlights or illuminated pathways, lights are a perfect addition. They allow you to enjoy your backyard even when the sun goes down!
